The Cimarron Starlite Cruisers' Car Club was on site Thursday April 17 to provide a few classic vehicles to assist with the 50th Anniversary Reception of the Thomas-Wilhite Memorial Library in Perkins, Oklahoma USA.  The library is located at the corner of Main and Thomas in beautiful downtown Perkins.

Perkins Library's 50th Anniversary

It was a cloudy day but a large number of bright and sunny folks showed up to participate in the Library's Anniversary.  Several of the classic vehicles were fairly new when the library  first opened  April 19, 1958 with about 800 books.  By the time the library had been opened a year there were about 3000 books ready for the public to read.

Folks like to kick tires,

And talk about the GOOD OL' DAYS!

Moving forward 50 years, the library now has over 19,000 items circulated yearly to more than 3200 patrons.  More than 14,000 materials, which include: books, CDs, DVDs, and Audio books are available to the public. Over 500 folks come to the library each month to use computers and explore the Internet.
