| A Great Oklahoma Classic |
RC and Jody Smith of Guthrie USA and proud members of the Flashbacks
Car Club is this month’s Great Oklahoma Classic owners with their 55 Crown Victoria.
The first "Crown Victoria" appeared in 1955;
it was a 2-door 6-seater hardtop coupe, part of the Ford Fairlane range, that differed from the regular Victoria model by having a stainless steel band that 'crowned' the roofline, passing right over the car, as an extension of the B-pillar
line. The model was produced in 1955 and 1956.

This 1955 Crown Victoria Ford was purchased in
1983 and retrieved from a pasture a short distance North of Guthrie, Oklahoma where it had been placed to slowly rust away. The ol’ Ford had been painted three different colors, had no windows or seats,
head liner, door panels and other than missing those few items it was a far piece from being any kind of Crown anything.

| Ford 272 cubic inch V8 brought back to life! |
RC and Jody spent the better part of four years repairing everything
from the 272 V8, the transmission, removing lots of rust, reconditioning chrome and stainless and total body make over. The continental spare tire carrier and trunk have been brought back to better than new condition.
A complete new interior including carpet, seats,
headliner, door panels, kick panels, dash refurbished to factory specs and new rear package tray has brought the Ford back
worthy of the Crown Victoria name.
