The Cimarron Starlite Cruisers' Car Club proudly feature, great classic vehicles, which belong to the good folks of Oklahoma.
This
Great Oklahoma Classic is the 2000 AM General Hummer H1 that belongs to Terri
Egleberry of Stillwater Oklahoma. Terri is the proud mother of three sons all being United States Marines. It is only
fitting that she drives a true military vehicle.
Terri
purchased the H1 in 2017 from a company in South Carolina. The Hummer had been
sitting in a garage for some time and needed a lot of work to get it road
worthy again.
Diamond
Auto Body of Stillwater was selected to do several minor cosmetic items to the exterior of the H1. The
Hummer has great gray and black leather interior that looks as new!
The
power for the Hummer comes from a 6.5L Turbocharged Diesel that produces 195
horsepower and 430 pounds feet of torque. The power is applied by a 4L80
automatic transmission to the four wheel driveline with fully independent
suspension. The H1 has sixteen full inches of ground clearance which allows it
to climb over a 22inch obstacle and handle a 60 percent grade and clear up to
30 inches of water.
The
H1 sets on 37/13.5/22 tires mounted to 22 inch wheels. The H1 is equipped with
central tire inflation system which enables the driver to increase or decrease
the tire air pressure with the push of a button. The tires rather than using
simple runflat tires have an aluminum alloy insert or rubber inserts for an
optional runflat ability .
The
Cimarron Starlite Cruisers sincerely appreciate Terri Egleberry of Stillwater Oklahoma
for sharing her beautiful Hummer H1 as our Great Oklahoma Classic for June 2023.
