Bud has spent over two and one
half years with the restoration of this classic Ford. Bud and his stepson, Adam
Listerman started the restoration with a complete body removal down to the bare frame.
Adam is a paint and body specialist by trade and his professional ability really shows with the work on this Ford Galaxie
restoration. Bud and Adam chose the original Ford Turquoise Mist for the body with a white vinyl top. Ford did not deliver
this car to the original dealership with a paint job like the one Adam put on it!
Big Ford 390 V8 with 300 Horse Power |

AC, PS, PW, PDB, Cruise Control |
The big block Ford 390 V8
was brought back to new condition by Bud’s life long friend, J W Lafollette
who also is a life long Perkins’ resident. J W has been a Ford guy, all
of his life and is truly an expert on rebuilding Ford products. Along with the
300-horse power V8, Bud and J W installed a new Ford AOD overdrive transmission. The
overdrive tranny really makes the big Ford a real highway cruiser.
The striking black interior is
all restored to better than original by Ronnie Drummond of Shawnee. Ronnie has done work for several members of the Cimarron
Starlite Cruisers and always does great interior work.

The Galaxie 500 now
sits on a set of fifteen inch Craiger Chrome Wheels, which adds to the Ford’s striking appearance.
Not only did Ronnie Drummond Interiors make the inside look good, he also restored
the trunk of the Galaxie to better than new condition.
Bud used Greg Donough Chrome to restore all of the stainless, aluminum and chrome work on the
big Ford.
Bud and JW also have added power
disc brakes, rebuilt the power steering, rebuild the power windows, air conditioning and added electric cruise control.
The Cimarron Starlite Cruisers
are proud to feature the 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 owned by Bud and Irma Redus as the September Cruiser of the Month.
